Who answers and what to ask

How Our Network Works

Who you will talk to

When you reach out through Comicbishop Plumbing, you are connected with an independent provider. That is a local business, not an employee of ours. They decide whether they can take your job, what they will charge, and when they can come.

We have no staff profiles here because the people who do the work are not part of Comicbishop Plumbing. They work for the provider you speak with.

What happens on the call

It is a simple conversation. You say what is wrong and where you live. The provider asks a few questions, such as where the water is coming from and whether you have found the main shutoff.

Then they tell you whether they can help and roughly when they could arrive. Many providers can respond quickly, but availability changes. If they cannot help, ask whether they know someone who can.

What to ask before you agree

Ask before you agree. A good provider will not mind these questions.

  • Are you licensed to work in my area?
  • Can you give me a written quote before starting?
  • Is there a trip or diagnostic fee?
  • What happens if you find a bigger problem?
  • Will you explain what you did when you finish?

A good answer is clear and calm. It gives you real numbers or a clear range, and it does not change when you ask again.

Red flags to notice

  • A big price over the phone with no look at the problem
  • Pressure to decide right now
  • Cash-only demands
  • Vague answers about licensing

Typing a few notes about what you hear can help later if you need to document damage for a claim.

You are in control

You can say no. You can get a second quote. Typical costs vary a lot by job, so a written quote matters.
